Welcome to the World Anthropological Union webinar, “The Anthropology of Statelessness.” Today, we gather to explore a critically important and complex issue affecting millions worldwide: the phenomenon of statelessness.

This session aims to shed light on the social, political, and cultural dimensions of living without recognized citizenship, examining how statelessness shapes identities, rights, and access to resources. Our discussions highlight anthropological perspectives and insights into this global challenge, fostering a deeper understanding of the experiences of stateless populations and the modes of resistance and resilience they employ.
