This webinar consists of six anthropologists briefly describing the situation of anthropology in their own societies: Shannon Morreira (South Africa), Gonzalo Diaz Crovetto (Chile), Thomas Hylland Eriksen (Norway), Yasmeen Arif (India), Gang Chen (China), and Gordon Mathews (Hong Kong), and then offering some suggestions as to how the situation of anthropology in the world might be improved, particularly in terms of the current situation of Anglo-American hegemony.
